Question Geography | City: Ciampino | State: Rome | Country: Italy solved 0 Italy Urszula Olszewska 6 Answers 1785 views 1 City: Rome Answers ( 6 ) Cezary Pietrzak 0 Reply 2 years ago it was possible, there were quite a few people. Not much comfort, count on sleeping on the floor. Lights are on. Urszula Olszewska 0 Reply the thing is that I have read that they close it from 12 to 4 am…! Cezary Pietrzak 0 Reply Try to find some recent info or contact them about the current situation. The closing time of airports can mean very different things, sometimes it’s only that shops, check-in, and other facilities are closed. Nigel Harber 1 Reply If you plan on arriving in Ciampino in the middle of the night in order to catch an early morning departure… you’ve made a big mistake. This airport closes at night (12:00 AM to 4:30 AM) and it is not possible to sleep inside. Make alternative arrangements. Best answer Bennie Yundt 0 Reply I did it last year, they close departures but the arrivals lounge is open. As Cezary said its just the floor, lights are ON, lots of fellow travelers. Urszula Olszewska 0 Reply I have sent an email to the official email of the airport and they have told me that is not possible… :/ Cezary Pietrzak 0 Reply Take a tent 🙂 Is there no transport to Rome at night? Urszula Olszewska 0 Reply I have taken a hostel finally in Rome, but I have to take the bus at 4:50 to arrive on time haha, anyway I think its the best option, thanks! Cezary Pietrzak 0 Reply Well, it’s more comfortable than the airport floor, and they would wake you up early for cleaning anyway. About what I mentioned above – Treviso airport is a funny example. It’s locked 23-6h, but you can stay and sleep inside if you get in before 23h 🙂 Dagmar Jacobs 0 Reply The Central Station Inn (Hostel) is pretty close and for $22/night is a solid option for a bed. Patrick Marshall 0 Reply Did anyone stay at Ciampino recently? I’ll arrive at about midnight on the 12th of August and have a flight at 8 am on the 13th – I think it wouldn’t be worth staying at a hostel for what essentially would be 5 hours between arrival/check-in.
